Vallejo PD Investigates May 4, 2022 Homicide

On 5/04/22 at approximately 11:28 p.m.,  Vallejo Police Officers responded to the report of a shooting in the 3400 block of Hazelwood Street. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male victim inside of a vehicle suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Officers attempted life-saving measures and the Vallejo Fire and EMS responded and pronounced the victim deceased at the scene. 

The Vallejo Police Department Detective Division responded to take the over the investigation. The motive and circumstances involving this shooting are under investigation at this time. The name of the victim is being withheld pending notifications by the Solano County Coroner.

“Gun violence is a public health emergency  which adversely impacts communities of color," Vallejo Chief of Police Shawny K. Williams stated. "We must double down on our prevention and intervention efforts to stop community violence in the City of Vallejo.”
