Recently, Vallejo Police Officers were alerted to a human trafficking case involving a minor from the State of Nevada. Upon further investigation, Vallejo Police Officers also recovered another missing juvenile at a local address without incident and released them into the custody of CPS.

2022 Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month

The U.S. Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is partnering with the Vallejo Police Department (VPD) to remind all motorists that May is Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month. As May approaches with warmer temperatures throughout the country, the unofficial start of the summer road travel season begins. Safe riding and driving practices, and cooperation from all road users, will help reduce the number of fatalities and injuries on our nation’s highways.

VPD Investigates May 11, 2022 Fatal Traffic Collision

On May 11, 2022 at approximately 11:13 p.m., officers were driving in the 800 block of Sonoma Boulevard when they observed a vehicle fully engulfed in flames. Officers observed signs of a major accident, and responded to assist the subject they observed trapped inside the driver’s seat. ​

On 5/04/22 at approximately 11:28 p.m., Vallejo Police Officers responded to the report of a shooting in the 3400 block of Hazelwood Street. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male victim inside of a vehicle suffering from at least one gunshot wound.
